MMM and Dillon settle

Staff Writer

The long-running, and unfortunate, $700,000 lawsuit between Kym Dillon and Southern Cross Austereo has been settled out of court.

Both parties were to reappear in the Adelaide District Court today, however a notice of discontinuance was filed by Dillons lawyers yesterday.

Speaking with AdelaideNow Dillons solicitor Greg Griffen commented:

"What occurred here was that a commercial resolution was achieved which Kym is extremely pleased with and, as a consequence, there was no further utility in proceeding in court,"

"Kym showed his determination to proceed in the litigation prior to the achievement of the commercial resolution as he felt there was a strong moral principle which he was not prepared to walk away from. Kym is now entirely satisfied with the outcome and is pleased that the proceedings have come to an end."

Both parties will undoubtedly be pleased to put this behind them.
