Mix102.3 has given three lucky Adelaide Swifties and five of their friends the chance to see the pop queen live at her Eras Tour in Melbourne through the KIIS Network’s Taylor Ticket Blitz.

Many devoted fans were left disappointed after the popular artist revealed she would not be coming to Adelaide on her Eras Tour, so the KIIS Network decided to take fans to her.

The Taylor Ticket Blitz saw a total of twenty winners from around Australia receiving tickets for themselves and five friends to go and see Taylor live in Melbourne, with flights and accommodation all included for those who had to travel.

KIIS Network Drive hosts Will & Woody had the pleasure of calling winners live on air, withthe good news sparking everything from screams to tears.

Three Adelaideans were among those who got their hands on the most sought-after tickets in Australia right now.

On Tuesday 18 July, Adelaide father Andrew surprised his daughter Amaya live on air with the news that they’d won tickets. Amaya was on the train home from school at the time so was forced to hold in her screams, and instead broke out into tears of joy.

“When tickets went on sale, [Amaya] had crystals and candles out. We let her take two days off school, which we shouldn’t have done, and she was on hold for seven hours at one point,” Andrew told Ali Clarke on air.

Despite her best efforts, Amaya missed out on tickets, however luckily for her, Mix102.3 saved the day and Andrew quickly became Father of the Year!

On Wednesday 19 July, Gwen from Happy Valley was lost for words when she received the call that she won tickets.

In a previous interview, when asked by host of Mix102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show, Ali Clarke, what she’d give up to go and see Taylor Swift, Gwen said, “I would literally give up anything. I’d give up my soul, my laptop … I’d give up my boyfriend.”

Luckily for Gwen she got the Taylor Swift tickets and managed to keep her boyfriend of five years, Ryan, in the process.

Twenty-one-year-old Chloe from Noarlunga was hit with the good news on Monday July 24 while on the clock of her new job as a student teacher.

Despite being surrounded by kids, Chloe sang Taylor Swift’s hit ‘22’ on live radio, securing her reputation as a deserving winner.

When asked in an earlier interview on why Taylor Swift was her all-time favourite artist, Chloe replied, “She’s just such a girlboss. She inspired me to study science.”

“In a male-dominated field, [Taylor] shows us that we can do it and we can win in those areas that we’re told we shouldn’t be able to win in,” she continued.

Ali Clarke, along with co-hosts Max Burford and Shane Lowe were in awe of the response to the Taylor Ticket Blitz.

“We witnessed an epic father-daughter moment, we sparked tears of joy, and it’s safe to say we made three lucky people’s days – or perhaps even years!” says Ali.
