Mix 101’s baby shower for Whippy

Usually, it’s only expectant mums than have a baby shower thrown in their honour.

But Melbourne's number one FM breaky show, Mix 101’s Chrissie and Jane, has bucked that trend and had a party for soon-to-be dad Whippy.

The Mix Program Director/breakfast show anchor and partner Yong are expecting their first child on June 15.

Whippy aka Brendon Dangar admitted he was nervous about becoming a dad.

“I can’t even feed or clothe myself. I'm not sure how they will let me leave the hospital with a baby,” he said.

“Once the baby arrives, I will go from a few hours’ sleep, to no sleep – that's what Chrissie & Jane keep telling me.”

The Lads to Dads baby shower for Whippy and a group of expectant dad listeners was held this morning.
