Mel & MC speak publicly

After being hidden away, understandably, since the story broke of the death of Jacintha Saldanha, Southern Cross Austereo's Mel Greig and Michael Christian will speak publicly for the first time tonight.

Pictured below are the pair, on set at this afternoons 'Today Tonight' interview with Clare Brady.

The pair will also appear on A Current Affair with Tracy Grimshaw, in an interview recorded today at 1pm. Grimshaw described the interview as 'raw and emotional' and 'shattered'. She also has told Fairfax Media today that the room was full of radio station staff during the interview supporting the two announcers.

ACA spoke with the pair first, followed by Today Tonight. Subsequently Channel 10's 'The Project' has also had access to the pair.

It is understood that none of the television programmes have paid for access.
