Joseph ‘Joppy’ Price takes helm of The Sideline View for POWER100

Grant Broadcasters has announced another iteration of its localised The Sideline View sports programs, this time for POWER100 in Townsville.

POWER100’s The Sideline View will be hosted by Joseph ‘Joppy’ Price at 12pm on Saturdays from February 20.

Earlier this week, Grant Broadcasters announced Chris Guscott will host The Sideline View on 5MU in South Australia’s Murray Bridge.

Alison Cameron, CEO of Grant Broadcasters, said there would be 24 versions of the show broadcast to the network’s markets this year, which will also include regular updates of the major national sports codes.

Price’s show will cover the latest community sports news, local games, score updates and stories from all levels of local community sports clubs.

POWER100 content director, Cliff Kern, said: “Joseph is already a respected local voice presenting local news weekdays, making him a great fit for the POWER100 team and for local listeners alike.”

Price said he is excited for the opportunity to share the amazing sporting stories of Townsville.

“A few years ago, I said that my goal was to use my journalism career and love of sport to one day host my own sports show, it’s really a dream come true, and I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to showcase the amazing sporting stories we have in Townsville – the sporting capital of north Queensland.”
