Chris Guscott to host The Sideline View on 5MU Murray Bridge

Staff Writer

Grant Broadcasters has announced a new program for its 5MU Murray Bridge station, with The Sideline View kicking off this month.

It will be hosted by “sports nut” Chris Guscott and will cover the latest local community sports news, local games, score updates and stories from all levels of local community sports clubs.

5MU’s content director, Adam Connelly, said Guscott is a great fit for the 5MU team and for local listeners alike.

“Regional South Australia lives and breathes their local sport,” he said. “Chris combines his journalist’s eye and his love for all sport to tell the stories that make local sport great.”

Guscott said he is looking forward to sharing his passions with like-minded listeners.

“I’m thrilled to join the Grant Broadcasters team, and consider The Sideline View to be a dream come true,” he said.

Alison Cameron, CEO of Grant Broadcasters, noted this was one of many similar programs which the radio network has commissioned. Locally produced and hosted afternoon sports shows will be beamed to 24 of the network’s markets this year, and will also include regular updates of the major national sports codes.

“Local sport is vital to regional communities and we are committed to providing a conduit for that connection,” she said.

Really enjoyed Chris Guscott doing the local cricket scores. Where has he gone?
