Jones airs apology

The 2GB breakfast announcer has apologised to Sydney's Lebanese Muslim community after being instructed to do so by the Administrative Decisions Tribunal.

In 2005 Jones referred to the community as 'vermin' who 'infest our shores'. The Tribunal ordered that his apology be read between 8am and 8.30am on one day this week. It went to air just after 8am today.

The Tribunal scripted the apology word for word.
