Jackie O announces break due to health reasons

Jackie O Henderson from KIIS 106.5’s Kyle and Jackie O show has announced she will be stepping down from the show for a couple of weeks due to health reasons.

“I’ve been to the doctor a number of times and because I’ve been pushing myself, all I’m doing is sleeping after the show, and I’m not getting better,” said Jackie.

“I can feel it’s getting worse.”

The 47-year-old contracted covid this year and has been suffering from the aftermath which has led her doctor to recommend time off to have “proper, serious rest.”

“I think ever since I’ve had covid I’ve been struggling with fatigue,” said Jackie.

KIIS radio host and former Bachelor contestant Brittney Hockley has been announced as Jackie O’s replacement while she takes time off.

Alongside Laura Byrne, Brittany hosts the Life Uncut Radio Show on Saturdays at KIIS between 10-12pm.

The pair rose to popularity with their podcast, Life Uncut with Brittney Hockley and Laura Byrne, which has found itself around the top of the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker more often than not in recent times.

At this point, a specific return date for Jackie O has not been announced.

I’m betting ARN would have happily let Kyle go early as well to give Britt and Laura a run together on breakfast. They are excellent.

Anyone who has done Sydney breakfast radio for any length of time knows how taxing it is on your body and mind.

COVID has seriously affected millions of people for months on end who haven’t endured anything like the stress and pressure of brekky gig.

Jackie – get well girl. You’re an amazing woman and I love you so much.
