Jackie Harvey celebrates 10 years on air and behind the scenes at Chilli FM

Tasmanian radio host Jackie Harvey celebrates a big milestone at the end of this month — 10 years in the industry, all of which she’s proudly spent with ARN’s Chilli FM.

Starting out as a Street Star, Jackie quickly worked her way through almost every corner of the station, from promotions and reception to talkback producing, commercial production and music direction.

Today, she’s one of the most recognisable voices on the North’s airwaves as Chilli’s Afternoon Announcer and Assistant Content Director.

On top of her weekday role, Jackie can also be heard on KIX Country each weekend, keeping her connected to her country music roots and loyal rural audience.

She is also seen across Tassie TV screens as a casual weather presenter for 7 Tasmania.

Never one to sit still, Jackie spends her spare time on the ground at festivals and events across Australia, creating content for her podcast Yarns with Jharvs, where she chats with artists and personalities from the country music and entertainment scene.

Reflecting on her journey, Jackie says “Working in radio is something I knew I wanted to do, although it was cemented after taking the class at Launceston College. Can’t wait to see what’s next.”

With her trademark energy and genuine connection with listeners, Jackie continues to be a driving force in radio on the Apple Isle, proving that hard work, heart – and hustle – really do pay off.

Jackie is a true testament on being true to yourself. Being a leader not a follower. Love what she does.
