Hayden Miller to depart bay 93.9
93.9’s Breakfast show is undergoing a shake-up, with Hayden Miller to say goodbye at the end of the year.
Miller plans on relocating to Canberra to be closer to family, and his final show will be on Friday, December 18.
He has been waking up listeners across Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine for a decade, and said it’s time for a change.
“I’ve had the most amazing time in Geelong, especially on-air with Mill, who has become a very close friend,” he said. “I’ll miss my Geelong radio family and the wonderful listeners who have been so supportive, but it’s time for another chapter in my life, and being closer to the other half of the family is important to my partner and I,” he said.
Lisa ‘Milly’ Millard said she’d miss her co-host.
“I’m crying already, he’s like a brother to me,” she said.
Bay 93.9 content director, Mark Hyland, noted that listeners would also miss Miller.
“He’s really become part of the listener’s life over the last 10 years, sharing many milestones along the way,” he said. “Hayden will be missed by listeners and work mates.”
General manager of the station, Andy Mathers, thanks Miller for his tenure.
“10 years of 4am alarms and entertaining Geelong with a smile each morning is an amazing effort. Thank you Haydo for a job very well done,” he said.
Time to bring Mobbsy back!!! Dress like a pirate day will be huge.
Hayden has always been the consummate professional and Geelong Broadcasters is better having had him there.
Congratulations mate on an awesome stint.
