DWTS contestant refuses to do radio interview

When the father/son team of Mick and Matt Newell were on MKR it was no secret that Mick didn't get along with fellow contestant Sophia Pou (right).

Now Matt is a workday announcer on Sea FM in Hobart, while his dad Mick does breakfast on 7HO FM.

7HO FM have been chatting to all eliminated contestants from Dancing With The Stars, but when Pou was kicked off, she refused to be interviewed by Mick on the breakfast show.

The station says that Mick was prepared to put personal issues aside to continue to cross promote the show.

“I’m not surprised she got eliminated or won’t talk to me. Her ego has always outweighed her talent, and I would love to take on in the kitchen, or the dance floor or even celebrity X factor if they think about doing that show in the future.”

The 7HO FM content team are apparently now deciding whether they'll continue interviewing eliminated DWTS contestants.
