Double J welcomes The Dinner Mix and Tom Ravenscroft to Friday mornings

DJ, curator and radio presenter Tom Ravenscroft has joined the Double J lineup to host Friday Mornings. The station also welcomes a new program called The Dinner Mix and Take 5 with Zan Rowe also returns from Thursday March 12.

With more than three decades exploring the world of underground music, Tom’s a true music obsessive set to bring some fresh energy to Friday Mornings. Across his 16 years on BBC Radio 6 Music, his shows became trusted destinations for new discoveries and forgotten gems.

Tom said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Double J family, a station with such a strong musical spirit and sense of community. I look forward to sharing all my favourite new discoveries and exploring all the great music Australia has to offer.”

Tom Ravenscroft on Friday Mornings on Double J airs from 9am followed by Karen Leng then Dylan Lewis. The weekend then commences from 5pm with 00s Night (playing the biggest bangers from the 2000s) and then The Block Party with Hau Latukefu.

Take 5 returns on March 12 with brand-new episodes where Zan Rowe‘s guests share the five songs they love. Listen and follow the podcast on ABC listen, or tune in Thursdays from 7pm on Double J.

Plus, Double J welcomes The Dinner Mix. A hand curated selection of tunes designed to heat up your kitchen or get you in the mood for sharing food with loved ones. Adalita puts on the apron on March 5, listen live on Thursdays from 6pm, followed by Take 5.

Tom’s a good capture for Double J, he remains highly regarded in the UK.
