Carrie Bickmore to return to the Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy show next week

Reporter

Carrie Bickmore is getting back behind the mic.

This afternoon on The Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy, it was revealed that Bickmore will return to the show from this Monday, June 15th.

Last month, Bickmore revealed to listeners that she needed to take time away from radio amid fears of permanent vocal damage.

She immediately sought further treatment after an ENT specialist warned her that her vocal cords were “in a very bad way.”

At the top of today’s Carrie & Tommy show, Tommy Little said to stand-in host Loren Barry:

“You have been so amazing, filling in for the Queen herself, Carrie Bickmore, on this show. It saddens me to say that our time together is coming to an end, not our friendship, that’s been decades. Carrie’s coming back, so never call me again.”

“Carrie, in great news, her voice is on the mend, and she’ll be back with us on Monday, which is fantastic. We can’t wait to have her back.”

Barry – co-host of The Hot Hits – has been filling on Carrie & Tommy for the past few weeks while Bickmore rested her voice.

Listen to Carrie and Tommy on the Hit Network from 3-6pm weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
