Staff Writer

A raft of notable Aussies have signed up to live on $2 of food per day to raise awareness and funds for poverty.

Gold 104.3's Brig & Lehmo have joined the challenge, which started today and will run until Friday.

Lehmo said;

"this is how the poorest people in the world live and you can experience it first hand for 5 days".

Other famous names taking part are Mandy McElhinney – better known as Rhonda from the AAMI ads, and Stephen Curry.

'Live Below the Line' is aiming to raise $2.5m to fund education projects in Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and East Timor.
