Breakie on the run, literally

Well for one at least. Hayley from Star FM’s Hayley and Simon in Shepparton did the entire three hours of the  breakfast show on a treadmill.

Hayley was running for local charity Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation to raise awareness for organ and tissue donations.   Zaidee Turner was the only child in Victoria under the age of 16 to donate her organs back in 2004. She was just 7 years old.

Hayley’s aim was to reach 30k’s  running non-stop but she ended up clocking over 33km and some money along the way.

Hayley said: “We are very incredibly proud to be able to support such an amazing charity. If it means just a few extra people are now organ donors then we have done our job.”

Simon said: “I am so proud of our efforts, I use the term ‘we’ loosely as this wouldn’t have been possible without Hayley’s machine-like cardio fitness.”
