96three FM blankets Geelong to help the homeless

96three FM’s Blanket Geelong campaign has been hailed a success.

This morning, volunteers including the team from the local Christian community station managed to cover the Kardinia Park netball courts with the blankets which have been collected to help those who’ve been sleeping rough.

As the sun came up, it certainly made for a spectacular sight.

All the blankets will be donated to the various homeless charities throughout Geelong.

96three Content Director Leroy Brown says “It’s great to see people coming together for such a good cause.”
