Becks gets back behind the mic with new weekend Breakfast show
Luke ‘Becks’ Toohey is back behind the mic – the radio veteran teaming up with former Survivor contestant Chrissy Zaremba to host a brand new weekend Breakfast show on 91.9 Sea FM.
Chrissy & Becks Weekend Breakfast kicks off from 7am this Saturday on Queensland’s Sunny Coast.
The pair has previously worked together as an on-air duo.
Soaring fuel prices unfortunately wiped out the photo shoot budget … so Becks took matters into his own hands and used AI!
Becks has previously worked across major radio networks including SCA and ARN, where he was part of the Ant & Becks radio duo.
He also co-hosted Sea FM’s Drive show alongside Elly Chaney.
For the past two years, Becks has held a full-time role as a director at Seen Agency – a marketing group which helps brands grow through creative campaigns, digital strategy and media partnerships.

Another reality contestant gets a Radio gig.
This industry is cooked. Don’t study kids. Don’t work hard. Just apply for a reality show and you be gifted a show. I feel sorry for new people trying to get into the industry… Don’t study radio. Just apply for a reality show. You will never get a gig. The industry isn’t interested in you. And you’re not allowed to call this behaviour out…You have to celebrate it.
Name ONE other recent reality star hire.
The whole “reality stars are taking our jobs” thing is a fallacy. I’ve beaten tons of them for gigs, just work hard and you’ll get it – stop blaming others. Also, I work with Chrissy and she’s been filling in for YEARS trying to get her start.
@AB
Didn’t Sca recently hired Brittney Hockley and Laura Byrne to fill in on there radio assists if they need do and do a podcast on their lisnr platform?
But I get where you coming from though!
@AB
You say she has been “filling in for YEARS”
That’s the issue! How did she even get that opportunity? How did she get to fill in? The door is closed to most… this is a real issue. She got the opportunity to fill in, which then lead to getting a show because she was a reality person and jumped the que. If she was just someone who studied radio, then there would be no opportunity there.
Have some empathy.
@nerdy those two have been doing radio for now years after their incredibly successful pod. Not everyone makes it like they have, it’s the exception for sure.
