B105 jock gets breakfast gig

B105 morning announcer Matt Sutton is leaving the station, SCA and the country !!!

Fresh FM is in Winnipeg, it’s a surveyed metro market and the station launched not long ago but until now they haven’t had a breakfast show.

Matt has been B105's mornings announcer and Operations Manager for the last 3 years. Before that he was on-air and MD at Sea FM on the Sunshine Coast and on-air and AMD at Nova 919 Adelaide.

Here's the statement released from Fresh FM :-

I am pleased to announce that we have hired Matt Sutton as the new morning show host for Winnipeg’s All New 99.1 Fresh FM.

Matt understands the Hot AC format and relates to the 99.1 Fresh Demographic. He is fluent in Social Media and connecting to the audience outside of the radio medium. There are going to be amazing promotional opportunities as Matt integrates into his Winnipeg life of “Tim Horton’s, Molson and Maple Syrup.” This will not be Matt’s first voyage to Canada as he worked in London, Ontario in the service industry and has travelled extensively.

We are currently looking for Matt’s co-host for Fresh Mornings. Matt arrives in Winnipeg on February 23rd.
