Ange Anderson departs Nova after 13 years
After 13 years with Nova Entertainment, Brisbane Breakfast newsreader Ange Anderson is calling it a day.
Having loved being part of the Ash, Luttsy and Susie O’Neill Breakfast Show, Ange admits it was a difficult decision to leave, but a new, yet-to-be-revealed adventure awaits.
During her time at Nova, Ange has covered some incredible stories – some sad, some inspiring … others way too close to home.
The 2-time ACRA winner tells Radio Today “It’s been truly a dream come true to work with a team that became like family. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given.”
A highlight was walking the Kokoda Track with Ash, Kip and Luttsy in 2015.
“I literally fell down a dug out toilet in the ground and Ash Bradnam almost vomited as I had to clean myself up!”
“Nothing brings you closer than a physical and mental challenge like that!”
Out of the studio, Ange adopted Arlo the German Shepherd, met her husband Josh and welcomed daughter Hallie, who’s now two.
Leaving a heritage Breakfast show hasn’t been easy.
“I agonised over the decision over many sleepless nights. Essentially, I could have stayed forever but I realised I needed to grow and that doesn’t happen in the comfort zone.”
“I’m happy Nova Entertainment has been supportive of my decision. I have some exciting things ahead. But for now it’s sleep-ins and spending time with my daughter.”
As to what’s next, Ange says she’s in a season of growth and has found the courage to step outside that comfort zone and take up a new opportunity which gives her more time at home with her family.
“I’m not going too far and you’ll hear me again soon.”
Congratulations Angie! You’re a superstar personality and journalist and you’ll succeed at your next endeavour. Nova Brisbane won’t be the same without you.❤️
