Ad Revenue results for August

Commercial Radio advertising revenue for August for the five metro markets was down 1.91% to a total of $ 57.903m, compared to this time last year, according to Deloitte figures released today.

  • Sydney grew for the fourth month, up 2.23% to $ 18.426m
  • Melbourne fell 7.23% to $ 17.071m
  • Brisbane fell 2.40% to $ 9.128m
  • Adelaide fell 3.44% to $ 5.425m
  • Perth grew 2.92% to $ 7.851m

The Deloitte figures report actual agency and direct revenue for all metropolitan commercial radio stations for the calendar month.

CEO of Commercial Radio Australia, Joan Warner commented…

“Results for Sydney and Perth continue to be strong. It seems that the Melbourne market is now exhibiting the patchiness that has plagued Sydney in recent times.”
