ABC launches dedicated Women’s World Cup audio stream for Matildas fans

Matildas fans will be able to follow every Australian game live and commercial free, wherever they are, on a dedicated FIFA Women’s World Cup stream on the ABC listen app, as well as online.

ABC Sport’s Ned Hall will be joined by current and former players for each of the Matildas’ matches, starting with the Australia vs Ireland opener.

Head of ABC Sport Nick Morris says the dedicated Women’s World Cup stream means Matildas fans will be able to find match coverage quickly and easily via a dedicated FIFA Women’s World Cup button prominently displayed on the ABC listen app.

“The live stream will be particularly useful for fans who are on the move and want to keep up with the action.  We will have live coverage every day and we’ll be there for every Matildas game, hopefully right through to the Final.”

ABC Sport will cover all the quarter and semi-final matches played in Australia and the final in Sydney on 20 August.

The first three Matildas matches will also be broadcast on the local ABC Radio network in all capital cities except Brisbane, which has local NRL commitments. ABC Radio will also broadcast a selection of matches across the tournament.
