3MMM pay respect to Jim Stynes

With the passing of AFL legend Jim Stynes this morning at 8.20, the Triple M Melbourne team showed the power and relevance of radio in paying tribute to the great man.

The news broke in the 8am hour, and was handled sensitively by the Breakfast show. All morning, Triple M took calls from listeners on how Stynes passing affected them, and ran a one-hour live tribute program hosted by Breakfast team Eddie McGuire and Luke Darcy from Midday to 1pm.

Online, Triple M were all over it and posted this tribute video to Jim Stynes.

Whilst not unexpected, it is a very sad day, and it is one that has been handled respectfully and with class by Triple M Melbourne. These days are when the power of radio shines through.
