Xavier Ellis and Katie Lamb to host Triple M Perth Breakfast

SCA has today confirmed that Xavier Ellis and Katie Lamb will host Perth’s 92.9 Triple M Breakfast show, which kicks off this Monday.
Ellis is a well-known former AFL player, or as he prefers, a self-proclaimed ‘mediocre’ AFL player, who won a premiership with Hawthorn before joining the Eagles in 2013.
Following his 2016 retirement from the AFL, Ellis transitioned to media, bringing his footy knowledge, sharp wit, and engaging personality to radio.
Most recently a host of Triple M’s The Rush Hour, Lamb is a force in her own right who has spent more than a decade building her radio career. Outside the studio, Lamb is a passionate sports fan and participant, whether that be netball or beer pong.
Off-air Ellis and Lamb have been great mates for years and are excited to combine their talents for Triple M Breakfast with Xav & Katie on 92.9 Triple M.
Ellis says “I thoroughly enjoy laughing with, and at Katie on-air, at the pub or on social media. We’re going to have a fun time together, and we can’t wait to bring this fun to our wonderful listeners. On a side note, I will be auditing her Monday ‘sick days’!”
Lamb says “Besides the 4am alarm, I’m so excited to move into Breakfast! I feel like Xav and I will have a lot of fun together, we are both in our 30s and both love a good time. I can’t wait to see out the rest of the year together and hit the ground running in 2025.”

Any word as to what has happened to Michelle Anderson?
Michelle Xav Sharn were the best, there were many days that I would be in tears of laughter because of them.
I love Michelle Anderson. Where has she gone?
Another sloppy handling of a situation by SCA. They continue to set a pretty low bar when it comes to this over the last 2 years with the handling of 2Day Breakfast/ Marty/ MMM drive shows. No mention of Michelle after she gave 7 years to the company is pretty poor form. What a rudderless ship a once great company it has become.
Not sure what’s happened with Michelle Anderson but Katie is a legend and she’ll kill it on the brekky show! The 92.9 MMM Perth presenters are really lovely people to interact with.
Gosh, I miss Michelle so much! She and X were hilarious together and she was so funny and fabulous in her own right!! Why was there no announcement regarding her departure?? She was there the Friday before and bang…suddenly it’s Xav & Katie! WTF> 🙁
What happened to Michelle? There one minute gone the next. How come her fantastic work has not been mentioned or why or where she has gone.
I’m switching stations. No respect.
I’m so grossed out. Honestly I’m usually the last one to be offended but a caller called in and told a story (obviously he has ptsd from the incident) about a family coming over to his house and the baby getting out the cat flap and subsequently being run over on a highway.
As awkward as a call like this would be to handle I feel Xavier and Katie were grossly unprofessional choosing to laugh in response to a dead baby and comment “oh well you shouldn’t have had a cat flap and it wouldn’t have happened. The caller then noticing their response half giggled and said “it was very traumatic” to which they continued to laugh it off. It was so gross it’s put me off this show for life.
