When truth is more shocking than fiction

Reporter

After three friends are murdered or go missing within a two-month period, their mums begin connecting the dots … and what they uncover is more disturbing than anyone could have imagined.

Launching today (November 8), The Bakersfield Three podcast is a 15 part series that delves into a real-life case involving kidnapping, torture, murder and more.

The Bakersfield Three is the culmination of five years of reporting, research, and interviews by Emmy-Award winning journalist Olivia LaVoice.

Listeners will hear audio from police interrogations, jailhouse phone calls, an explosive trial and more in this new true crime podcast created by Casefile Presents.

LaVoice says “This case is unlike any I’ve ever encountered. The twists and turns have often felt endless. The case has many layers and is both deeply emotional and intriguing.”

Guy Scott-Wilson, Acast’s Content Director in Australia and New Zealand, says “Casefile Presents is such a huge Aussie podcasting success story.”

“We have loved working with them to bring this incredible new series to audiences platform-wide, it’s a gripping story, brilliantly told and is a must-listen for true crime fans this summer.”

All episodes have been released for bingeing today.

The podcast series is hosted, distributed and monetised by Acast as part of the Acast Creator Network, and is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or your favourite podcast platform.
