Wave 96.5’s Lyndal & Crammy make listeners’ Origin dreams go sky high – or bust

This morning, Wave 96.5’s Lyndal and Crammy brought back their ACRA award-winning Origin or Bust competition. 

Two buses were filled with finalists, all ready to head to Sydney Airport and fly to Melbourne for tonight’s Blues-Maroons blockbuster at the MCG.

But of course, there was a catch.

Only one bus would actually be going to the airport. The other bus? Well, it would just be returning to Wave 96.5.

Anticipation was high as both buses took off from Wave 96.5, filled with hopeful listeners.

Bus A and Bus B travelled down King Street in Warrawong, as Lyndal and Crammy broadcast from the roadside, only finding out themselves live on air which bus was going to the State of Origin.

Ultimately, the winner was Bus A, with ten lucky Illawarra residents off to see State of Origin Game II – while bus B returned to the station.

But all’s not lost for the Bus B finalists – they’ll be treated to a local night out at the iconic Illawarra Hotel.
