"Sad news this morning re: the passing of Penne Hackforth-Jones.

Penne was a brilliant actress and a remarkable voice over talent.

3AW often engaged Penne for various campaigns. Last year for our 80th anniversary, Penne voiced a series of vignettes covering the biggest stories in Australia over 3AW's 80 year history.

Penne had a wonderful gift in the booth, being able to deliver any line with such grace – and make it sound like it took absolutely no effort.

A true professional and beautiful human being, she will be sorely missed.
