Vale 2GB’s Gordon Moyes

Gordon Moyes passed away on Easter Sunday.

The news was announced by his son on Facebook:

Gordon was Ordained as a Minister in 1959 and for 27 years was the Superintendent of Wesley Mission Sydney. During this time, Wesley Mission secured majority ownership of 2GB with Gordon becoming Chairman of the station during a difficult time. Wesley Mission later sold their shareholding of 2GB to John Singleton.

For 18 years Gordon also hosted Sunday Night Live on 2GB. Last year he received a Life Time Achievement Award from Christian Media Australia.
