Triple M Melbourne summer lineup to feature Kate McCarthy, Xander McGuire and Max Gawn

105.1 Triple M Melbourne‘s Summer Breakfast lineup has been announced, and its Kate McCarthy, Xander McGuire and Melbourne premiership captain Max Gawn. Kate and Xander will host from Monday December 15 to Friday December 19 from 8am–10am with Gawny joining them from Wednesday December 17. That is also Triple M Pilot Week where five brand new shows will be broadcast nationally from 6–8am.

Kate (pictured main) announced the news this morning with Mick Molloy, Roo, Titus & Rosie, which you can listen to above.

Kate McCarthy is a former AFLW star familiar to Triple M listeners through her involvement with Triple M Footy and stints co-hosting The Rush Hour with JB & Billy. Xander McGuire is a rising AFL and cricket reporter, who also happens to be the son of Eddie. Max Gawn is a well established member of the Triple M team, regularly popping up on Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus & Rosie and The Rush Hour over the past two years.

Kate McCarthy said:

“It’s going to be lots of fun! Summer is my season; I’m from Brisbane originally and I thrive in the heat… and a Breakfast show that starts at 8? I can absolutely do that! I’m very much looking forward to getting in the studio with Xander and Max.”

Xander McGuire added:

“I’m very excited to join Summer Breakfast with Max and Kate, once Mick in the Morning have kicked their feet up!”

And Gawny said:

“I’ve loved being a part of Triple M for the past couple of footy seasons and having a bit of fun with the Mick in the Morning and JB & Billy teams, so I’m pumped to be part of the Summer Breakfast lineup with Kate and Xander. With Kate as our captain and Xander the rising star, I’m more than happy to be the super-sub and have a bit of fun with the Triple M Melbourne listeners for a few mornings.”
