Triple M launch Classic Rock Digital (for real)

Staff Writer

Triple M have had their fun with 24 hours of non-stop Kiss (playing on all the speculation of the possible launch of Kiis FM by ARN).

This morning, the Triple M Classic Rock Digital channel kicked in for real.

For an hour or so leading up to 10am they played a loop of the opening riff of The Who’s 'Won’t Get Fooled Again'…. then the launch piece aired….
or hear it here

The playlist for the first hour was :-

Won’t Get Fooled Again The Who
Immigrant Song Led Zeppelin
Sympathy For The Devil The Rolling Stones
Let There Be Rock AC/DC
Hurricane Bob Dylan
Another Brick In The Wall Pt 1 / The Happiest Days Of Our Lives / Another Brick In The Wall Pt 2 Pink Floyd
Fire Jimi Hendrix
We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions Queen
Living In The 70s Skyhooks
A Day In The Life The Beatles

Former KOFM Music Director Jacqui Kassulke (who loves her classic rock) tweeted this morning :-

The digital station will be heard in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. Perth won't get the Classic Rock station as they recently launched their own Triple M on DAB+ to work alongside 92.9 and Mix 94.5.
