Overnight the first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong, died.

Whilst Armstrong's passing won't have the outpouring of emotion that we saw with Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson or Princess Diana – due in part to his age, and the age of those who remember the first moon landing, it is a significant occasion nevertheless.

Mix 101 in Melbourne were quick to reflect it with the below sweepers on the air mid-morning Sunday. 

The sweeps themselves are obviously quite simple, with the moon landing actuality tagged with the station callsign, however it is a credit to the station that they didn't 'go to sleep' over the weekend, and they had some actuality on the air as people in Melbourne were waking up to the news.
