Tim & Jess complete 27-hour radio marathon

The Hit Network’s regional Victorian Breakfast show Tim & Jess stayed on air for 27 hours in a bid to raise funds for the Cancer Council Australia.

The broadcast with Tim Bolch and Jessica Pantou kicked off last Thursday at 6am, and wrapped up at 9am on Friday.

The duo adopted the mantra that “Cancer doesn’t rest, so neither will we”.

Throughout the broadcast, there were challenges, games and multiple businesses and listeners phoning in to pledge their support.

The hosts said it was a challenge with many ups and downs, including an “out-of-body” experience at 2am, but it was worth it for the money and awareness raised.

By the end of the broadcast, they has raised $11,000, and that figure has since climbed.
