Three Questions: Nozz

Staff Writer

It was a big 2016 in radio, as the New Year rolls in; we are asking a bunch of you three quick questions. Up next it’s iHeartRadio Australia Content Director – Brett Nossiter (Nozz).

The year in review, what are you most pleased with from 2016.

Kicking the goals we shot for on iHeartRadio. 1M app downloads, over 30% YOY year growth in usage. A cracking year of iHeartRadio Live events, Tove Lo a personal favourite. The iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas was a major highlight. And of course having lots of fun creating loads of new stations. I also scored a sweet car space downstairs too.

Biggest challenge facing your stations in the next 12-months?

The landscape for many music and steaming services will change significantly as new services and subscription models launch, including iHeartRadio Plus. Audiences will be bombarded with messages, and the challenge will be to have a clear simple message that benefits the audience and cuts through.

Favourite song of 2016?

2016 was a quiet year for Irish folk dancing crossover metal hits which is my passion. So Imma gonna go with Flume feat. Kai – Never Be Like You
