Three Questions: Charlie Fox

It’s been a big 2015 in radio, and as the year wraps up we are asking a bunch of you three quick questions.

Next up it’s Charlie Fox, Content Director of ARNS’s WSFM and The Edge 96.one.

Biggest challenge facing your station in next 12-months?

The challenge for WSFM is to keep the product consistent while consistently sounding fresh, which is not always easy to do for a ‘gold’ based station. #1 FM all people is fun but all we really care about is remaining #1 40-54 which we have managed to do for quite some time.

The year in review, what are you most pleased with from 2015.

Apart from Jonesy & Amanda who just getting better every year and some great survey results, but really I’m most pleased with the sound of the station. Dave Post does an amazing of imaging & Eddie the music director is exposing some great tracks which may surprise people. Gen Xers are really fun to programme to. Ron E, Lars & Jason tie it all together across the workday

Favourite song of 2015

Well I also programme The Edge 96.ONE and my 2015 fave is The Weeknd ‘Can’t feel my face’. Although right now I’m obsessed with Drumtalk ‘Lose again’. There are no ‘can’t stand’ songs only ‘burnt’ songs & I still haven’t recovered from ‘Happy’ by Pharrell!! I know right? Still burnt after all these years J
