The Voice of WA’s Rural Community Expands

For 15 years Rural Focus has been On-Air covering all agricultural and rural issues in the west across most of SCA’s RadioWest network. The program targets not only farmers on-the-job, but all people involved in the rural industry.

Come March 16 the Redwave Media’s- Spirit Network joins, taking in an additional coverage area spanning from Geraldton to Kununurra.

SCA Regional WA General Manager Ashley Myatt said, “We’re extremely proud to be able to deliver such a long-running and highly-regarded program into an area which now covers most of WA’s rural community.”

Vin Dawes who started it all 15 years ago said:   “What excites me the most is the opportunity to bring a program with such a strong history of proven success of delivering results to businesses, both in the agricultural sector and in all areas of the economy.”

Redwave Media General Manager Ian Kennedy said, “Both the Spirit Radio Network and RadioWest have worked closely together in recent years to deliver great radio and results for listeners and advertisers alike. The decision to introduce the very popular Rural Focus programme into the Geraldton and northern wheatbelt markets will give agribusiness a massive opportunity to target new business within the Spirit radio network’s coverage area.”

Rural Focus is hosted by Vin Dawes,  Chayce Creedy and Danni Astbury and appears 9am each weekday.
