Podshape launches podcast exploring the Sydney Siege

Former Editor & Content Director

Jay Walkerden’s Podshape has a new podcast title, this one focused on the 2014 terrorist siege in Sydney.

The Sydney Siege – Terror in Australia will focus on the story of Louisa Hope who was in the Lindt Cafe in Sydney on the day of December, 15, seven years ago, and left in an ambulance 17 hours later with gunshot wounds.

In the podcast, Hope will talk about the moment she thought she was going to die, the terror of watching the gunman execute a hostage, the stress of waiting for the police to come, and needs to change to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself.

Podshape also promised listeners would hear shocking details and relatively unknown information about the gunman and the events in the lead up to the headlines.

Walkerden, co-founder of Podshape will also host the podcast.

“The Sydney Siege has played a significant role in Australia’s psyche over the past eight years and we wanted to share Louisa’s first-hand account in an authentic way while also trying to ensure the message that we need to continue to strive for change and to never forget the innocent lives lost that day,” he said.
