Chart Wrap:
The Hot 100 sees a new #1 this week in the form of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. The track takes the top spot after six weeks of pure progress in the chart. At #2 is former #1 Taylor Swift and her singleShake It Off, which has spent a total of five weeks, interrupted at the top.
Alesso’s Heroes reaches a new peak this week, landing at #3 and surpassing the likes of Nathaniel and Calvin Harris. At #4 is Echosmith’s Cool Kids, which is up from last week’s #11, also a new peak for the track. Avicii’s The Days has entered the Top 10 this week at #9 after just three weeks of being in the chart. Becky G’s Showeralso just made the Top 10 after moving up to #10 from last week’s #16, a new high point for the single. This week’s most moved track is Avicii’s Hey Brother, which comes two weeks after Addicted To Youearned most moved. Hey Brother moved up to #49 from last week’s #84, a total of 35 positions. Plenty of Avicii’s older tracks have received sudden boosts in airplay these last few weeks and with the announcement that he will be touring the country for Future Music Festival next year, we may be seeing more and more movement from these old tracks.
