The Illawarra loving Lamingtons

Who would have thought that squares of sponge cake coated in chocolate and coconut could get you over $56k!

WAVE's 2014 LAMINGTON DRIVE wrapped up today, raising $56,345 for Port Kembla & Wollongong Hospital’s paediatric and physio departments to purchase new gear. 

The Wave team sold 10,270 dozen Lamingtons this week – that’s a staggering 123, 240 individual lamingtons.

Chuck’em end to end and they would stretch over 8.6 K's.

We did ask Jade and Travis from WAVE FM Hot Breakfast for a comment, but they had their mouths stuffed with lamingtons.
