The Chrissie Swan Show launches on Nova

Reporter

This Monday – January 30 – Chrissie Swan will launch her own national show on the Nova Network.

The Chrissie Swan Show is the newest addition to the Nova line-up and can be heard weekdays from 2pm to 4pm.

The show will feature everything listeners love about Chrissie, from relatable stories from her own life to popular segments that listeners love such as Swan’s Singalong, Mystic Chrissie and Chrissie’s Clickbait.

As always, listeners will continue to play a big role in the show, sharing their own yarns and tales.

Chrissie will also invite a range of special guests to be part of the fun each week, with Sarah Abo, Ricki-Lee and Poh Ling Yeow joining the show for the first week.

For over 20 years Chrissie has graced Australian television screens and radio airwaves, showcasing a  quick wit and an ability to bring an understanding and personal touch to her audience both on and off air.

The Chrissie Swan Show launches with a full line up of sponsors with Priceline Pharmacy the show’s inaugural presenting partner, and Specsavers also joining as a partner for the year.

The strong interest from brands to be associated with the new show reflects the commercial appeal of the 2pm-4pm timeslot in a competitive market.

Catch up on anything you’ve missed on the daily podcast or stream the show live via the Nova Player.

Nova now plays music 9-2 each weekday.

More syndicated programming. They only do local breakfast shows. Even during the day is syndicated. Nova was good back when DMG used to own it. Never more than 2 adds in a row. Yeh right

Too old for Nova now, Chrissie is even older than FiFi. She would excell on 3AW though
in Afternoons or Drive.

interesting to see how this goes against the new KIIS show with Mitch Churi.

Melbourne radio is the weakest it has been – for as long as I can remember.

The flick around this morning on the way to work was excruciating… average phoners, tired benchmarks, horribly wedged in topical content.

It used to be the most dynamic, aggressive and fwd thinking market. This bunch is uninspiring and horrible.

To be honest, I’m surprised SCA didn’t sign up Monty, Kate and Yumi to take their former ‘Pick Up’ dynamic to the Hit Network.. seems like mid afternoons are the new Drive time.

@Mike – I too miss the original Nova, where all shifts were local and with never more than two ads in a row.. back when ‘sounds different’ was seen as an advantage rather than all sounding the same.

After a week I have switched stations. There is too many times that the words Chrissy Swan is played said etc during my drive home. Bring back the warm up with Kate Tim and Joel.
