Triple M Sydney’s The Chaser were in fine form at Saturday night’s commercial radio awards.

Andrew Hansen and Chris Taylor hosted the night’s top honours and had no qualms taking shots at top-rating Breakfast shock jock Kyle Sandilands, no stranger himself to poking fun at other radio personalities and celebrities.

Hansen joked about Kyle and Jackie O’s new multi-million dollar KIIS FM pay deal which will see them earn more than “$35,000 a day”, saying their new $8 million dollar deal works out at roughly “$4 million dollars for every interesting, new thought that Kyle has per year”.

At the Radio Alive conference the day prior, Sandilands said his two favourite things in life are cars and masturbation. “So he basically just loves emissions,” Taylor joked. “He’s Greta Thunberg’s worst nightmare.”

Taylor also took a cheap shot at Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s hit TV show The Masked Singer, one of television’s biggest hits of the year: “Must be a lovely change for Jackie O to work on a show alongside an incredibly round, pink-faced monster.”

The Radio Chaser team also won Best Station Produced Comedy on Saturday night for their Back to School Specials sketch.

Rumour is The Chaser has recently signed a deal to produce their first-ever CD in time for Christmas, which will add to their online venture Chaser.com.au which now attracts over one million visitors each month.

Outside of radio, the comedy team also produce podcasts, television, live shows and books.

Radio Chaser broadcast daily on Triple M Sydney Mon to Friday, 3 to 4pm, and Saturday mornings on the Triple M Network.
