Roxie Bennett permanently joins bay 93.9’s The Catch Up

Staff Writer

The Catch Up on bay 93.9 has a new full-time co-host in the form of Roxie Bennett.

Bennett has been appearing on the program for a number of years alongside other rotating hosts, Sarah Grace, Renee Enright and Samantha Krajina.

Bennett is now taking on the role full-time alongside Daryl Reader, marking the end of The Catch Up with Daryl, Samantha, Renee & Roxie. The station thanked Grace, Enright and Krajina for their contributions and wished them all the best for 2021.

The new program starts at 3pm on February 1 and will beam out to Victoria’s Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine regions.

As well as being a regular on the program for six years, Bennett has previously held various roles with Geelong Broadcasters, so the station said she is already well-known to locals. In addition, Bennett is a life coach and runs a PR and marketing company.

The station’s content director, Mark Hyland, said: “It’s great to have Roxie on The Catch Up full time, she’s a big personality and has a real talent for building rapport with our listeners. Together with Daryl, they’re two locals who know and love their own backyard. We’re excited for what they will bring to our listeners in 2021.”

common sense approach here. Having a different co-host every day was just confusing and now with a permanent co-host it makes it easier to connect with the show. Roxie is well known in the region, so a good decision here
