Survey #1: Albany WA

Rating for Albany in Western Australia are out.

Albany is the first of three regions in Western Australia which will release results this year.  Surveys for Kalgoorlie will be released next week and Bunbury is planned for the second half of the year.

Hot FM 106.5 and RadioWest Albany are included the survey along with the ABC, which was conducted by Xtra Research.

Summary Snapshot:

• ABC Local Leads the 10 plus race with 27.1% of Station Listened to Most for the market. On the commercial side, we then see HOT FM with 20.6%, triple j is next with a 14.1% slice and back in the field is RadioWest pulling a 7.3.
• ABC Local Radio dominance continues into Breakfast – 30.3% slice with HOT FM a 19.8.
• For HOT FM you see the halo of Hamish & Andy shine in Drive, the only daytime shift that HOT FM comes out in front.
• Where HOT FM does come home is in the money belt demo of 25-39 and the broader 18 to 39 demo, where the station holds the top spot. They will take that.
