Sports Bizarre podcast hits two million downloads

They’re like an old married couple who got their spark back.

That’s how one listener describes the natural chemistry between Titus O’Reily and Mick Molloy, whose Sports Bizarre podcast has now hit two million downloads.

Tongue firmly in cheek, O’Reily tells Radio Today “It’s taken all of my time and effort to download this podcast two million times.”

Every week, O’Reily and Molloy dig deep into the history of sport to uncover stories you wouldn’t believe, had they not actually happened.

From itching powder in the shorts of Tour de France cyclists to the team mates who called a press conference to announce they were swapping wives, no sport is off limits.

The first episode was released in July 2022, with the show now into its second season.

A sports and history buff, O’Reily does deep research dives to uncover these rich tales.

As Molloy says, O’Reily does “all the heavy lifting.”

Episodes this season have included ‘Chaos Agent’ John Daly, the LIV Golf-PGA Merger, Trump vs the United States Football League and The World’s Greatest Pedestrian, to name a few.
