Simple answer wins Sales book and Smart Speaker

A simple answer encapsulates the essence of successful radio sales.

One of our readers, Kyle, advised:

Believe in what you’re selling

as the answer in our competition to win a Sales book by Pat Bryson and a Google Dot smart speaker.

Behind that answer sits a whole lot of other important things about selling in radio.

In this highly competitive modern media environment there is so much competition for the ad dollar that you need to have 100% belief in this audio medium. Believing in the power of audio also means you understand that the message gets through the ears to the brain faster than other media because there are fewer distractions. And in radio, the pictures are better, because the pictures are personal – each person imagines an image that is relevant to them because they create that image in their minds, not an image on a screen that someone else has created.

Get involved with the creative, the production and the scheduling because you are the one the client will hold responsible if the ad doesn’t work, so you need to know the whole process.

and James’ tip was:

Find out what problem the client has then solve that problem with your ads.
