Shihad play 3 gigs in 1 day for Radio Hauraki listeners
New Zealand alternative station Radio Hauraki has hosted rock royalty with the country’s biggest rock band Shihad performing 3 shows in 1 day for Hauraki listeners in the invite only shows.
Shihad played last Sunday at lunchtime in Christchurch, late afternoon in Wellington, and in the evening in Auckland for Hauraki listeners – the first time the band has played that many shows in one day.
For Hauraki, it was the culmination of a major on-air tactic celebrating the band and giving away the sought after tickets to listeners.
Shihad have a strong connection with Hauraki, lead singer Jon Toogood hosts a weekly show on the station.
