Shareholders to decide on SEN merger deal today

The proposed merger of Crocmedia and Pacific Star Network faces its final hurdle today at a general meeting of shareholders.

A recent shake-up of PSN-owned 1116 SEN might make it seem a foregone conclusion, but formal approval is still needed for the deal to go ahead.

Under the proposed merger, will issue 91.6 million shares to Crocmedia’s shareholders and executives in exchange for 100% of equity in the sports content form.

The combined entity would have a stable of two Melbourne-based broadcast licenses and syndication agreements with 200 frequencies in 88 radio markets across the country.

Crocmedia’s co-founder Craig Hutchison becomes chief executive and managing director of the new-look Pacific Star Network.

Yesterday Hutchison said he was “very pleased” with the results of Survey #1, despite falls across the board following wholesale changes to the 1116 SEN presenter lineup.
