Sea FM look to listeners to find breakfast host
With Dayna Sayer recently leaving Sea FM breakfast in Northern Tasmania after only a few months in the gig, the station has decided to run a contest to find her replacement.
Sea FM PD Steve Segale said:
“Whilst we did advertise this position some weeks ago, and received some excellent applications, I am convinced that there is a local hidden talent somewhere on the coast.
A person, who may have entertained a career in radio, but perhaps wasn’t sure how to proceed to realise that dream. The SEAFM APPRENTICE presents a unique opportunity here in Northern Tasmania to possibly uncover a special talent”
Listeners can send audition videos to the station telling them what makes them unique and why they deserve the gig.
From Monday June 3 the finalists will face off with a contestant being “fired” each day until the ultimate winner scores a 3 month contract with Sea FM "with the very real possibility of that being extended!," says the station.
