Sea FM give away a car

Staff Writer

Sea FM Gold Coast had the finale of their 'Kia Car Drop' tactic on the Breakfast show this morning, with a lucky listener winning a brand new car.

There were 80 contestants through the course of the tactic who had the opportunity to put their car on the line in order to win a new Kia Rio.

Charli Robinson from the Sea FM Breakfast show explains how the tactic worked, with the stunt coming down to two buttons;

“Both cars were lifted 50m in the air. One button would release the contestant’s car, whilst the other would see the Kia Rio plummet to the ground. Our finalist Justine chose the button that released the Kia Rio that crashed to the ground, but there was a twist!

We gave her a brand new Kia Rio anyway, because if you’re risky enough to put your car on the line, then you definitely deserve one!

“It was an amazing crash to watch, Justine was convinced her dreams of a new ride were coming crashing to the ground.”

All the leftover car parts were donated to the Gold Coast TAFE who will use them in their mechanical department for training.

The Gold Coast market is presently in survey, with three weeks remaining. Survey 2/14 is released on Thursday 7 August.
