Scott Mayman celebrates 40 years of broadcasting
Veteran radio journalist Scott Mayman has marked 40 years of broadcasting, celebrating the milestone with family at the weekend.
“It was a quiet affair this year which coincided with my wife and I celebrating 28 years of marriage on the exact same date,” he said.

10 years ago, it was a different story, with colleagues and three former 4BC News Directors gathering to celebrate Scott’s 30th broadcast anniversary, as pictured above.
“That just shows how much great respect we have for each other as a team with common goals,” said Scott.
Scott is currently involved in expansion plans for Perth’s 6iX news with the station’s Program Director Tim Lordan, details of which will be revealed soon.
“As the years go on, I’m looking forward to my new expanded role with 6iX but I must admit that I’m slowing down,” Scott said.
In addition to his 6iX duties, Scott continues to work as Pacifica Correspondent for NPR as well as ABC News America after a recent switch from CBS.
