SCA go the schmooze

Any media company worth their salt has the ability to schmooze it on with the media buyers both informally and formally.

Last friday, Southern Cross Austereo launched the first of their 'Summer Cocktail Sessions' in Melbourne with a collection of agencies in attendance. 

Celebrating Christmas with a few cocktails and a barbeque on the SCA rooftop in South Melbourne were Mitchells, MPG, Media Kitchen and Starcom. And being in Melbourne, SCA rolled out the on-air talent – Hamish & Andy, James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless.

Fluro sunglasses were compulsory, as were specially branded Dupé thongs to assist with the attendees dancing into the night.

There are two further Summer Cocktail Sessions planned for early February in Melbourne.

Whilst it's all a bit of fun, agency sales and direct sales are largely relationship-driven and events such as these are great to help grow those relationships. And they work, as is evidenced by this quote from Maja Akimovic from the agency MPG:  “Great start to the summer; lots of cocktails, colour, Hamish & Andy…what’s not to love. Can’t wait for the next one!”
