RIP Warren Huntly
Radio has lost another industry great, with the death of long-time RSN 927 presenter Warren Huntly at the age of 63, following a battle with cancer.
An integral part of the Melbourne racing station for 20 years, Warren loved his job – studying the form guide and passing on his expert opinions to RSN’s family of listeners.
Paying tribute on-air, long-time mate and colleague Andrew Bensley said “The one thing that Warren has been is a lover of racing, a lover of doing form.”
“Up until Friday, Warren was talking to people. A couple of us saw him last Sunday and he was sitting at home watching the races and talking footy.
“It has been a battle for Warren over the last two and a half years, but he’s dealt with it.”

RSN form analyst Trav Noonan said “He’s a true fighter and one of the best blokes you’ll ever meet in the racing game.”
“We pay our condolences to his wife Leeanne and daughter Nicole and all his friends.”
Yesterday, friends and workmates downed a glass of red wine in his honour, as that’s what Warren used to love doing on a Sunday.
Details of Warren’s funeral will be released today.
